Our  [Sitecore development team](https://www.brimit.com/expertise/sitecore-cms "sitecore development") took part in Sitecore Hackathon of 2015. 3 members of our team participated under title Balloons+. It was our first experience in Hackathons.

Hackathon is an international competition between 32 teams of Sitecore developers that lasts 24 hours. The goal was to **implement module for Sitecore 8**, based on a task revealed only one hour prior to the start. The module has to be designed, developer and submitted within the given timeframe and, of course, it has to be selected as best module (or a work solution for Sitecore community). 

The hackathon is a challenge for developers, yet it is also a good chance to demonstrate their skills, teamwork and experience. 

The Brimit team was presented by Alexei, Andrei and Daniil. Together they have over 20 years of Sitecore development experience. 

Lucky us, the Hackathon started at 3 am for our timezone and ended 4 am next night. This way our team Balloons+ needed twice as much coffee and pizza!  

Brimit team developed a module for BOX integration with the Sitecore 8. Sitecore is leading enterprise CMS according to the Gartner report, so is the Box [named a leader](http://content.box.com/gartner-mq "Enterprise File Synchronization") In the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing. Companies rely on Box because it's secure, works on any device and scales to meet the needs of small businesses and Fortune 500 companies.

It’s a great idea to make the two leaders work together for the benefit of site administrators and marketing teams. Box Integration module provides instant access to Box content as well as enables seamless experience viewing office documents on your website with Box Viewer App. Solution is enabled with Sitecore analytics to track file views and downloads as Sitecore events and goals. Each Box proxy item is enabled with Sitecore profiling feature so that marketers can contribute to user profile when user browses files.
