The customer

A global pharmaceutical manufacturer headquartered in the Netherlands, running six production facilities across two continents. Each site operates under strict regulatory requirements—every piece of equipment, from scales to workrooms, follows defined cleaning, calibration, and maintenance schedules that directly affect production readiness.

The challenge: No shared view of equipment status across sites

Every equipment decision meant navigating the MES one dialog at a time—ten or more clicks per check. Supervisors had no complete picture across sites. Each facility ran independently, and employees transferring between locations had to relearn local setups each time.

The solution: One dashboard for six facilities

Brimit built a Power BI dashboard pulling equipment data from the Oracle MES across all six sites. Color-coded status—green, yellow, red—gives supervisors an instant read on what's ready, what needs attention, and what's out of service. Clicking through shows full cleaning and calibration history for any individual piece of equipment.

Two-minute data refresh. True real-time was considered but the cost wasn't justified for how operators actually work.

Rolled out to for one facility first. Once the site signed off, the same dashboard went to the remaining five facilities without changes.

The result: Faster decisions, consistent visibility

  • Equipment decisions that needed ten-plus MES dialogs now take seconds
  • Production planning and cleaning schedules move faster
  • Same interface across all six sites—no local variations, no relearning on transfer
  • Expiry indicators and color-coded status support compliance without extra reporting
