WEF-endorsed ###### DEFINITION ## What "Industrial IoT" actually means Past the marketing, Industrial IoT is a four-layer stack. Brimit works on layers 2 through 4: connectivity, data, and applications. We integrate sensors and PLCs, but we don't sell hardware. ##### Sensors and PLCs (layer 1) Already on the floor. Most plants have the data. The question is whether anything outside the cell can see it. ##### Connectivity (layer 2) MQTT, OPC-UA, or a Unified Namespace. This is where projects either stay clean or turn into integration spaghetti. ##### Data layer (layer 3) Ties each signal to a line, a shift, and an order. Without that context, raw signals are noise. ##### Applications (layer 4) Dashboards, OEE, predictive maintenance, AI.
